Production tip: Do not attempt to drive into Canada at the end of a holiday weekend.

Unless you enjoy being stuck in a border crossing queue that stretches hundreds of cars deep and takes 6 hours to get through the checkpoint.

For us, and our schedule, it was unavoidable. We did however, have the experience of being interrogated by Canadian Border patrol, and even with work permits, spent 3 hours in the office explaining who we were and why we were attempting to drive to Toronto for the second half of our production. Thank goodness for investigative research in the planning stages for work permits, attaining the proper permissions, and our ability to finally make it on our way and execute a fantastic shoot. 9+ hours later.
